April has been a big month for sharing CCPI findings. Graduate Research Assistant Monica Asencio Pimentel presented a poster at the UNM Health Sciences Center Pediatric Research Forum, describing what we learned from interviews with home-based child care providers about their experiences with the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Earlier in April, Deputy Director Hailey Heinz and Graduate Research Assistant Darlene Castillo presented findings at the annual conference of the New Mexico Association for the Education of Young Children. That presentation described the results of extensive focus group and interviews with diverse New Mexico families about their child care needs and preferences. Both projects were funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation's Equity-Focused Policy Research grants.
