CCPI is in the Community!

The UNM CCPI team kept busy last year traveling to various locations in New Mexico tabling at events, recruiting participants, and spreading awareness about our various research projects. Below are just a few of the locations where our team was present!

Our research team also took advantage of opportunities to attend and present at local and national conferences, data convenings and delegations, deepening our knowledge about research. Opportunities included:

  • Society for Research in Child Development Conference (May 2025, Minneapolis, MN) Members of the research team spoke alongside a national panel of researchers concerning child care access among subsidy eligible families.
  • New Mexico Early Childhood Data Convening (Sept. 2025, Santa Fe, NM) The research team attended a data convening put on by The Center for Healthier Children, Families, & Communities to build awareness of current data initiatives across New Mexico and explore opportunities for aligning data efforts across organizations.
  • Pueblo of Jemez and University of Hawaii at Hilo Delegation Visit (Oct. 2025, Hilo, HI) CCPI members were invited to learn more about the language revitalization efforts of the Pueblo of Jemez and the partnership between UH Hilo to support their efforts.
  • Assoc. for Public Policy Analysis and Management Conference (Nov. 2025, Seattle, WA) Dr. Breidenbach from the CCPI team presented alongside other national researchers examining the impact of family policy on health, care, and work.
  • 27th Annual UNM Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER) Data Users Conference (November 2025, Albuquerque, NM) The CCPI research team attended the BBER conference to build awareness of current and important datasets and initiatives relevant to New Mexico.
