Gelyn Topacio is currently working for the Cradle to Career Policy Institute and the Center for Social Policy. Her job includes creating inventory reports, reimbursements and many more. She is in her first year of college at the University of New Mexico. She is double majoring in Biochemistry and Psychology. Once she has earned her Bachelors of Science, she will be pursuing a medical degree that will hopefully lead up to a surgical residency. Gelyn went V. Sue Cleveland High School where she was president of Science Olympiad for two years a member for three, Historian for Black Student Union, Committee head for National Honor Society, and members for four other clubs as well. While she was president of Science Olympiad, she participated in several science competitions in which she placed in numerous events. Not only this, but she also participated in the UNM Science and Engineering Competition for two consecutive years; both years she has ranked amongst the top researches in her region.
