Derek Kuit is a Research Scientist at the Cradle to Career Policy Institute (CCPI) at the University of New Mexico. He provides research and evaluation support for the United Way of Central New Mexico’s two initiatives: Mission: Graduate and Mission: Families. His work utilizes a Results Based Accountability framework to evaluate the many projects across the cradle to career spectrum. This work includes career exploration for middle and high school students, early childhood provider and family outreach, college and career readiness in high school and college, and helping adults transition into post-secondary experiences. Prior to being a Research Scientist with CCPI, he was a Graduate Research Assistant while working on his Master’s degree.
He earned a B.A. with a double major in Psychology and Sociology from the University of New Mexico, where he was selected to be a Ronald E. McNair scholar. He also earned his M.A. in Educational Psychology with a transcript minor in Educational Leadership from UNM.
