Associate Director, Data & Analysis
Dr. Tom Dauphinee is the Associate Director for Data and Analysis and Research Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico Cradle to Career Policy Institute. CCPI partners with key education agencies and stakeholders to conduct applied research in the areas of education policy and program evaluation, making data and research available and useful for decision makers. As Associate Director, Dr. Dauphinee is responsible for negotiating the Institute’s requests for administrative data, managing data security protocols and training, supervising talent for statistical analysis and data visualization, and coordinating analytics software and hardware purchases. Dr. Dauphinee also maintains a research portfolio, which includes STEM education policy and programming, school accountability policy, teacher professional development programs, workforce training programs, student formative and summative assessment, and quantitative research methods. Dr. Dauphinee has over 30 years of experience working on education program evaluation, student assessment and accountability, workplace injuries and insurance losses, juvenile justice outcomes, and behavioral health services. Dr. Dauphinee holds a BA in Psychology, an MA in Counseling, an MA in Religion, and a PhD in Counseling Psychology with emphases in research design and individual assessment. He completed an APA internship in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in psychological assessment.
